Air Fills $8.00
Our main compressor pumps 30 cu ft / minute. Our storage banks hold 65,000 litres of air at 330 bar pressure. This means you should never have to wait for a fill.
Our air purity is checked by NZU every three months and always meets their highest standard. We have mechanical filters, charcoal filters & cascade filters to ensure your lungs are bathed in the purest sea air.
Air Cylinder Testing
Island Bay Divers is a New Zealand Underwater (NZU) approved air cylinder testing station. We offer both hydrostatic and visual testing of cylinders and guarantee your tank will be tested within 48 hours.

We only hire scuba to qualified divers - please bring your scuba certification card when you hire. These must be entered on the scuba hire form.
Equipment Service and Repair
We provide servicing and repair of all dive equipment. Some items, such as dive computers, are forwarded to specialist centres.

Wetsuits and semi drys are available from Aqualung/US Divers, Cressi-sub, Apollo, Prodive, Poseiden, Dolphin, Bear & DUI. We also offer made to measure wetsuits.
Cylinders - we stock both aluminum & steel with K valve or Din valves - 8, 10, 12 litres - 85, 100 & 115 cu ft. Brands are Faber, Asahi, Catalina and Luxfer.
Spearfishing & free diving are very popular on our coasts. We stock Creesi-Sub, Picasso, Rob Allen, Esclapez & Riffe Equipment

Options for payment
We accept payment by most major credit cards. We have a policy of normal recommended retail price and a discounted price for cash or eftpos for most stock items - 20% off recommended retail for scuba sets (reg, BCD, gauges, octi) for example.
We also offer layby arrangements for items over $500.
